ABOUT THE SAT EXAM:

SAT Full Form is Scholastic Assessment Test. Originally, it was called as Scholastic Aptitude Test In 1993, the test was renamed the SAT I: (Scholastic Assignment Test). SAT is a globally recognized standardized test that is taken for admission at US colleges. Basically, SAT is of two types they are SAT Reasoning Test (SAT I) or SAT Subjects Test (SAT II). Both the SAT Test Patterns follow different formats to evaluate a candidate’s knowledge. There are currently 20 different SAT Subjects Tests, 12 of which are foreign language. They are

Who Administers the SAT?

The “College Entrance Examination Board” USA on behalf of ETS (Education Testing Services) conducts the SAT. The College Board is an American Non-Profit Private Organization. It was founded on 22nd December 1899. The College Entrance Examination Board was not organizing with a group of colleges but it offers a membership to college for admissions of students. It was located in 250 Vesey Street, New York City (NYC), U.S. The SAT is one of the two admissions tests often required for admission to United States universities and some other countries like Canada or Singapore. SAT 1 is reasoning test and SAT 2 is Subject test. The College Board pledges to the college that it gives a quality in all of his activities, programs, and services.

When Will the SAT Exam Conduct?

Mostly the SAT Exam can be taken seven times in a year in the US and 6 times internationally. Candidates can sit for the test in October, November, December, January, March, May and June. March test is available only in the US. The SAT registration can be completed both online and by mail.

You can retake SAT Examination if you aren’t satisfied with your present SAT score and highest of the both will be taken as a priority.

How many times SAT is held?

SAT 1 and SAT 2 are both held 6 times a year and you cannot take both the exams together. SAT Subject Tests are offered on the same days as the regular SAT Reasoning Test; so students cannot take both the SAT Reasoning Test and Subject Tests on the same day.

SAT Subjects Test:

The SAT Subject Tests are one-hour-long, content-based tests that give students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and showcase achievement in specific subject areas. This test is based on specific subjects. The students may choose his/her subject of interest from the list given below

SAT II Exam Duration

All Subject Tests are for 1 hour, multiple-choice tests. Despite, some of these tests have unique formats.

SAT TEST ELIGIBILITY

There is no eligibility criterion for SAT Test. It was an entrance exam taken for admissions into the colleges in the United States. The test was advised to take in high school or in India it is equivalent to +12.

Fee Waiver

Fee waivers for the SAT are available to eligible 11th and 12th-grade students in the United States. U.S. citizens living outside the U.S. may be able to have test fees waived.

Mode of Payment of Fees

Three options are provided. (i) By Demand Draft, (ii) By Swift money transfer and (iii) by debit/credit card. Necessary instructions have been provided in the information brochure.
